Natural UV protection

Vancouver summer is finally here!

To some it is time for camping and hiking, to some for brunches on the patios and picnics in the parks, and to others for sunbathing and swimming at the beaches. But to all of us it is time to pay a little  extra attention to our skin.

No one likes sunburns and the pain they bring, but the real danger is the damage from the sun exposure that accumulates over the years. It can result in premature lines, appearing of dark spots, loss of elasticity and even skin cancer.

Protecting skin from harmful UV rays by using a sunscreen should be a part of everyone's daily routine, especially during the summer months. However, what most people don't know is that some botanical oils have a high SPF rating and can be used as a natural sunscreen. Here are just a few of them:

  • Red Raspberry Seed Oil 

  • Carrot Tissue Oil

  • Carrot Seed Oil

  • Coconut Oil 

  • Jojoba Oil

  • Shea Butter
